This new super book, like its predecessors in the same series of technical manuals called "FAQ," is dedicated to the modeling of military vehicles and the techniques for assembly, painting, and weathering. The difference from the previous book is that we have moved further in time, and this book is a complement to the previous ones. It also explains some new techniques that have appeared in recent years, mainly for use on modern vehicles, but also for vehicles of all eras. It is the most comprehensive book to date for military vehicles.

The materials that make up modern vehicles and weapons have changed considerably since World War II. Materials that were technologically and industrially out of the question then are commonplace today. The use of these new materials and manufacturing and assembly methods reflect the way we paint and weather these models; they require a different approach.

As with many other things in life, it ultimately comes down to facing new challenges. In this book, we present some of these challenges. Simply essential for the military vehicle modeler.
