The PaK 40 was the primary German anti-tank gun for most of the war, with over 20,000 being produced. Capable of reliably knocking out virtually any Allied tank it faced, it was a well-liked weapon by its crews and a feared one by Allied tankers. Fallschirmjäger units deployed the gun, finding it particularly effective when fired from concealed ambush positions during the Battle of the Bulge.

A PaK 40 is a great addition to any artillery platoon in a Bolt Action Fallschirmjäger force. As a heavy anti-tank gun, it is capable of dealing with any opposing armour and its powerful HE round can blast infantry to pieces too!

A heavy anti-tank gun will need a tow – the PaK 40 is best paired with an Sd.Kfz 7 half-track or a good old-fashioned horse team!
