Following defeat at the hands of Napoleon in 1806, the Treaty of Tilsit castrated the Prussian army, permitting the once proud nation only a tiny standing army. Despite ingenious efforts to circumvent the treaty text, the Prussian army that marched to the Hundred Days campaign was comprised largely of volunteer Landwehr.

Poorly equipped and ill-trained, the Landwehr infantry and cavalry regiments made up this deficit with their sheer numbers and determination. Whatever the quality of the Landwehr, the elite Jäger units are still at the front of the battle to protect them and harass the enemy.

This plastic set contains enough models to field a full brigade of three Prussian Landwehr regiments of 80 men each, 1 regiment of Landwehr cavalry, consisting of three cavalry bases, and a 3-gun horse artillery 6-pdr battery.
