Wellington's allied army was a colourful mix of different nationalities and troop types. None looked more exotic than the three regiments of Highlanders at the Battle of Waterloo.

The contents of this plastic box allow you to field all three Highland units – the 42nd ‘Black Watch’, 79th ‘Cameron Highlanders’ and 92nd ‘Gordon Highlanders’. The Highland units had carved out a reputation for hard fighting during the Peninsular campaign and acquitted themselves admirably at Quatre Bras and Waterloo on the following day. They are each commanded by a finely dressed mounted brigade commander.

No British army is complete without the magnificent Rifle Brigade! Three battalions of the 95th fought at Waterloo in their distinctive dark green uniforms. Their efficiency in using the Baker rifle was well known to the French who were not keen to cross swords with them! The vast majority of the three units fought in line at Waterloo with some deployed in skirmish order in the sandpit next to La Haye Sainte. These figures can also be painted to represent the brave German defenders of that vital farmhouse. Finally, there are three Royal Artillery 5.5” howitzers for support, lobbing shell after shell over the heads of their troops into the French lines.

This plastic set contains enough models to field a complete brigade comprising three Highlander infantry regiments of 80 men each, 24 skirmishing 95th Rifles, one Royal Artillery 5.5-inch Howitzer battery with three guns, and three mounted Highlander brigade commanders.
