For ten millennia, Mortarion, Master of the Death Guard, has crushed his enemies on the battlefield. Engulfed in poisonous plague mists, swarms of buzzing flies, and giggling daemon mites, Mortarion descends upon the battle below on massive, groaning wings. The pulsating rhythm of these decaying wings sends plumes of foul stench across the war zone, filling the hearts of Mortarion's enemies with paralyzing fear. The very presence of the Lord of Death is deadly - his enemies fall to the ground gasping for breath, succumbing to one of the thousands of plagues that infest the air around Mortarion.

This multi-part plastic kit contains all the necessary components to build Mortarion, Daemon Primarch of Nurgle. This model towers high - the term "miniature" hardly does it justice, as it looms over the rest of the Death Guard and even gives Bloodthirsters a crick in the neck if they try to look at it! He is clad in baroque power armour, known as the Armour of Barbarus - it is encrusted with rust and decay, and its bulky components are covered with skulls, spikes, and symbols of Nurgle. Mouldy robes, chains, and a decaying cowl hang festering from his armour, only sparsely covering the tubes of his respirator - it's quite certain they don't provide Mortarion with a breath of fresh air, but rather with malicious spores of decay. He is armed with two poison-dripping weapons: a massive scythe named Silence, a rusty yet razor-sharp blade with a brutal chainblade, stained with the blood of worlds and capable of bringing even a Reaver Titan to its knees; and the Lantern, an ancient energy pistol. There are two different options for assembling these weapons - in one variant, Mortarion holds the weapons at his side, while the other pose is significantly more aggressive.

Mortarion has massive, decaying wings - these are sculpted with pockmarks, holes, and tears, clearly depicting the horror and decay of Nurgle's hordes. Speaking of Nurgle's hordes, this kit includes some great extras - 2 Nurgling drones hang from Mortarion's armour chains with phosphex bombs in their hands, and three more infest his base; one carries a Chaos icon, one swings a censer, and one has a container full of unspeakable substances. The base itself is equipped with detailed rocks, already corrupted by the putrid presence of the Daemon Primarch.
