Warlords of Erehwon: Daimyo & retinue

A daimyo is both a powerful warlord and leader of a venerable clan. Bitter rivalries fuel centuries-old conflicts between the clans, often over a real or imagined slight against a long-dead ancestor. The most powerful daimyo hold vast tracts of land and vie with each other to become the supreme warlord or shogun. The daimyo are guarded by the bravest and best samurai of the house, the Hatamoto (Bannermen), who have sworn to lay down their lives at their lord's command. These skilled and loyal warriors stand by their lord and are often the only people allowed a private audience with the daimyo.

In the game of Warlords of Erehwon, the Daimyo and Hatamoto have the "stubborn" special rule, which reflects their determination, meaning that the unit removes two Pin counters instead of just one each time it receives an order.
