In the dark days of 1940, Great Britain faced the threat of Nazi invasion. A huge civilian army, the Local Defence Volunteers, was raised to defend their families and homes. Though armed with ancient or improvised weapons and equipment, the Home Guard, as they became known, were an important part of the defence of Britain’s shores. Based on these proud defenders of the realm, the classic television series Dad’s Army created some of television’s most enduring catchphrases and characters as it followed the adventures of the Walmington-on-Sea Home Guard platoon.

The box contains 18 superbly detailed miniatures sculpted by Paul Hicks - depictions of the cast members of the classic Dad's Army television series in civilian and Home Guard attire! Included are Captain Mainwaring, Sergeant Wilson, Lance-Corporal Jones, Privates Pike, Walker, Frazer and Godfrey, as well as Warden Hodges, the Verger and Reverend Farthing.

Also included are plastic bases and a leaflet featuring a chronicle of Dad's Army and how to use them in Bolt Action games on the tabletop...
