Churchill Crocodile

The Churchill Crocodile replaced the hull-mounted Besa machine gun with a flamethrower. Fuel for the flamethrower was carried in a six-and-a-half-ton trailer towed behind the tank, and could be jettisoned, making the Crocodile less vulnerable than other flamethrower vehicles. Retention of the 75mm main gun made this an incredibly versatile war machine.

First seeing action in Normandy, such was the fear generated by this gruesome weapon that the presence of a Crocodile was often enough to cause defenders to surrender, but woe betide the crew if they were captured…

In games of Bolt Action, the Churchill Crocodile is a super-heavy tank with a medium anti-tank gun and a flamethrower.

This vehicle can also be used in Achtung Panzer!, the game of close-range tank-on-tank warfare, whose rules can be found in the Achtung Panzer!
