Capitana Roja is a mercenary captain, meaning she can lead a crew consisting solely of mercenaries. If she does, she may be accompanied by Tiradoras and Matelots of the Pirates. Her blunderbuss is a grapeshot weapon that can fire at a small area simultaneously.

As a mercenary, she does not fight for the Imperial Armada, the Cult, or the Brotherhood.
