To stem the aggression of Germany, Italy and Japan, Great Britain and her Commonwealth put vast numbers of men in uniform during the Second World War. Their small but professional army was swallowed up in the defence of a global empire, and soon its forces were fragmented and in retreat, culminating in the crushing defeats at Dunkirk and Singapore. Britain, however, stoically refused to surrender, and her army was reforged to strike back against the might of the Axis powers. The Tommies, as they were known, learned new techniques on the battlefield and by the end of the war were a highly effective fighting force, fighting from the opening of hostilities in 1939 to the end of the war in 1945.

This box contains 36 highly customisable plastic infantry, complemented by weapon teams, transports, and a Churchill tank (which is itself highly customisable, as you can build one of seven variants), providing you with a highly effective and balanced starting force for a British or Canadian army.
