British 6-Pounder Anti-Tank Gun

Introduced to the British Army in North Africa in April 1942 and seeing action the very next month, the QF 6-Pounder gun made an instant impact on the battlefield. In the battles at Gazala, it proved capable of engaging any Axis tank at effective firing ranges, and at the Second Battle of El Alamein, it destroyed over 15 tanks in a single engagement. Though unable to pierce its frontal armour, it was nonetheless the first gun to knock out the dreaded Tiger. The 6-Pounder was easy to manoeuvre into cover and could maintain a high rate of fire, its service life extended by improvements to its ammunition.

In Bolt Action games, the 6-Pounder can be taken in artillery platoons and is a medium anti-tank gun that can be towed by most vehicles.

• A gun sprue allowing you to build either the British 6-Pounder gun or the US 57mm M1 gun with either standard or airborne folding trail legs
• A crew sprue allowing you to build four crewmen in mid-late war British Army uniforms, also suitable for many Commonwealth forces. A variety of heads and arms are included, as is a range of equipment, and shells and spent casings to adorn your bases. The crew sprue contains enough parts to build the three-man crew plus an additional soldier who can be used as a platoon commander, spotter, or simply to add to your infantry squads.
