The Battle of Gettysburg, fought over the first three days of July 1863, became the high watermark of the Confederacy and the turning point of the American Civil War. After their victory over the Union army at Chancellorsville, the Confederate Army of Northern Virginia under General Lee attacked the Army of the Potomac under Union General Meade at the crossroads town of Gettysburg in the deadliest battle of the entire conflict. The battle ended with the near-suicidal assault of Pickett's Charge, which saw the battered rebel army withdraw from the field. Lee's invasion of the North had been stopped.

This boxed set contains over 2,000 men. Each of the two armies is presented on colour-coded plastic sprues; the push-fit components are extremely easy to assemble - allowing you to quickly get into playing this fascinating era of history on the epic scale it deserves. Also included are some MDF scenery pieces to add extra authenticity to your battles.
