BP Epic Battles: American Civil War Confederate Cavalry & Zouaves Brigade

With their stylish, colourful uniforms, the light Zouave infantrymen were involved in all the major battles of the American Civil War. The most famous Confederate Zouave regiment was probably the Louisiana Tigers.

The role of cavalry in the Civil War, fighting on horseback and armed with pistol, saber, and carbine, was more that of mounted infantry, reconnaissance, and patrol units than that of shock cavalry of earlier eras. Skirmishers were an important element in the armies of both sides, providing protection for the main units before engagements and threatening the enemy's flanks.

This plastic set contains enough models to assemble a complete Confederate brigade, including a 100-man Zouaves regiment, a cavalry regiment, a dismounted cavalry regiment, and a skirmisher regiment.

Models are supplied unassembled and unpainted.
