THE STORY
In the final days of the Second War, Major Ambrosius Roth faces a nearly impossible task. He is to hold the walls of the lost macro-city against a massive xenos assault, but he lacks everything – soldiers, weapons, and most importantly, time.

As Armageddon burns and Tartarus threatens to crumble, Prioris Sabreen of the Order of the Sacred Martyr is the last protector of a Saint's precious relic. But something evil has seeped into the foundations of Tartarus, an evil that demands an impossible decision from her.

Brother Gavriel, a strong-willed young Blood Angel, finds both death and glory in the ruins of the destroyed macro-city. As the Imperial forces around them crumble, the Angels of Death fight their way into the dark heart of Armageddon on a merciless campaign of vengeance.

In the face of total annihilation, each of these three warriors must decide what their sacrifice is worth.
