The versatility of Model Wash makes the product useful for both quick shading and for creating dust and dirt accumulations around the model's details, such as rivets and panel lines. The washes are also used as a filter, applied evenly to the model, to change the base color. Model Wash can be applied with a brush and airbrush and dries very quickly, allowing painting or weathering to continue after about 20 minutes.
